Robert A. Berzak, J.D.
Partner
Robert A. Berzak was recruited by then-partners Michael H. Lester, C.P.A., J.D. and Howard A. Minsky, C.P.A., J.D. in 1982 to handle the abundance of work the firm was fortunate enough to earn through the creative thinking and hard work of its principals.
Mr. Berzak joined the firm as its first and only associate attorney, bringing with him significant expertise in all real estate matters as well as wills, trusts and estates. Over the next decade the firm enjoyed continued success, eventually hiring additional associate attorneys and ultimately naming Mr. Berzak as a partner in 1989, adding his name to the firm as it remains today Lester, Minsky & Berzak, P.C.
Over the years the partners have shaped the firm into what it has become today, a small-sized law firm with the ability to handle a large range of issues. Along with Mr. Minsky and Mr. Lester, Mr. Berzak has developed a strong reputation in the professional community as being fiercely intelligent, fair minded and inventive in the handling of matters. Mr. Berzak now spends a majority of his time handling complex transactions and sophisticated estate planning.
Mr. Berzak was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1980 and thereafter to the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is also a member of the Nassau County Bar Association.
Mr. Berzak graduated from the University of Miami, School of Law with honors and a J.D. in 1979 and did his undergraduate work at S.U.N.Y. Stony Brook, graduating with high honors and Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology in 1976.
